How to move your data

Pick the system you use now. Do it in this order: clients, then your price list, then unpaid invoices.

1

Clients

  1. Sign in to Xero and open Contacts → Customers.
  2. Click Export (top right) and choose CSV.
  3. The file downloads as Contacts.csv. Upload it here as it is.
2

Price list / stock

  1. Open Business → Products and services (on some accounts it is under Sales or Accounting).
  2. Click Export and choose CSV.
  3. Upload the file here. Sales price, cost price and item code are picked up for you.
3

Unpaid invoices

  1. Open Business → Invoices and click the Awaiting Payment tab, so you only get unpaid invoices.
  2. Click Export and choose CSV.
  3. Upload the file here. Xero puts each invoice line on its own row; we bring each invoice in once with its full total.

Good to know

  • Export customers rather than All contacts, so your suppliers don't end up in your client list.
  • Part-paid invoices come in with the amount already paid recorded, so the balance matches Xero.
  • Upload the file just as it came out. Excel (.xlsx) and CSV both work, and we match the columns for you.
  • Importing the same file twice is safe: anything already in your account is skipped.
